On Trend: Fashion Inspiration November

Picking up our continued segment on fall fashion inspiration, we dive deeper into some classic trends seen throughout this October and November. The world of fashion never ceases to amaze or provide inspiration that can be channeled into something beautiful in any industry. Interior design derives so much from the aesthetics of fashion that we love to pay homage to the wonderful designers that keep our trends fresh and new.

  1. What would fall be without a little bit of autumn color? We love the way Elie Saab used orange trim “piping” on this gray women’s suit to add just a pop of color; simple and understated.

    2. Taking notes from some of the darker themed colors of fall we found this deep purple beaded dress by Marchesa! The stunning beadwork falls from its narrow neck, which reminded us of a dark purple chandelier with matching shape and shine.

    3. Following the classics of Fall fashion; oversized and thick knit sweaters are definitely in. These seemingly matching large woven blankets have become a huge trend in interiors, as people buy them ready to use or purchase the thick fabrics and hand weave them! They are a trending fall decor, not to mention their warmth and coziness is very welcome in these coming months!

    4. We always love to find the newest black and white trends emerging, to explore our favorite classic color way. This wide diamond patterned rug can be found all over pinterest, and is very popular in minimalist room decor. This is only fitting as it is paralleled with one of Valentino’s more simple and elegant dresses.

    5. Last, but certainly not least, is this vintage Yves Saint Laurent tan pant suit. We stumbled upon this old photo from the 70s but it reminds us that some trends never go out of style. Not only do we love the neutral tones, but the juxtaposition of masculinity in the broad shouldered suit with the feminine bow and waistline is just a vision. We used this as inspiration to find this design: turning something seemingly masculine like a brown leather couch, and adding feminine flair through decor to soften it and make it modern.

These five trends further reflect our belief that a trend is a trend no matter the field it is in. This fall introduced both new designs as well as recycled some of the tried and true classics. We can’t wait to see what winter brings…
