In 2011, Melissa Hill decided to take her drive and passion for design and turn it into a business. Her love of timeless aesthetics and decorating family spaces for gathering have translated into her work. Over the past decade, Melissa Hill Home Design has evolved into a full-service interior design studio that serves clients nationwide. These services include but are not limited to, new construction consultation, complete custom home renovation, and remote design services. At the core of Melissa Hill Home Design’s values is the importance of quality and trust. With this comes a highly selective vetting process that ensures all partners provide the highest level of service.
Melissa Hill’s love for creating a connection between her clients and her client’s homes run deep. She strongly believes in the importance of creating spaces that make every client feel relaxed and enriched. It’s in the journey of designing for life where the magic happens.
In addition to designing and enhancing beautiful homes for her clients, Melissa is saving the lives of horses. As Chairperson and an essential volunteer for the 501c-3 non profit Sumner Brook Farm Inc, located in Middletown Connecticut, she is fulfilling a lifelong desire to work with horses. Melissa and her family support the mission of rehabilitating and rehoming neglected horses, horses who are abandoned or are in need of a safe retirement home.
Melissa is deeply committed to participating directly in the daily care attention these horses require. It is difficult work, but a responsibility she takes very seriously which enriches her own life as well as the rescue herd. Only with the support of monthly sponsors, annual donors and hard working volunteers, is Sumner Brook Farm able to prevent the neglect of horses whose lives may have otherwise ended being shipped to slaughter.
Melissa Hill Home Design is honored to support this non profit program. It takes a village to carry out this amazing mission and Melissa invites you to learn more about this organization so close to her heart.
